"I bought this shampoo/conditioner for my daughter and I. We both have long, straight hair down to our waist. I don't care for the fragrance much...the raspberry part is good, the "satin" is gross. I really like how silky our hair is, but the shampoo doesn't clean my hair very well. My daughter is only 4 so she doesn't have problems with her hair being oily and it works great. In my hair, I can barely get the shampoo to make any suds (and yes, I shower EVERY day). The conditioner is AMAZING and I highly recommend it. It's a little on the pricey side, but I have been using various Herbal Essense products for the last 8 years and overall have been happy with them."

"This shampoo smells great and is reasonably priced but it doesn't work on my hair the way it should. It does make it silky but it makes it extremely oily. It looks like I haven't even washed my hair when I use it. This would be a great shampoo for someone with dry and damaged hair, but not long hair that is somewhat oily on its own. The bottle should say "for long dry or damaged hair" not just recommend for long hair period."

"i bought this one day with the conditioner as well i took home as i was showering i used the shampoo even the shampoo by itself made my hair smooth but when i use the conditioner it was the cherry on top!i went to sleep then i woke up my hair was soft smooth shiny and frizz and split end free plus and for an odd reason it made my hair a bit straighter without using any other straightening what so ever another cool thing is my hair grew i used this for two weeks straight and it grew a little already atleast an inch it was at shoulder length and now it is slightly past my shoulders plus it smells really good before i shower i always smell this because it smells so good.i like how it smells fruity and romantic which is awesome thanks gotta be one of the top three HE shampoo/condtioners thanks i think im in heaven lol"

"I have awful split ends from heat damage over the years and I needed something that would protect/repair them. When I first smelled this product, I wasn't sure if I would like the scent because I like to have a fruity smell to my hair. But when I washed it and used the conditioner and let it dry naturally, I noticed it smelled wonderful and the best part was the difference in my hair. Usually when I let my hair dry naturally, it looks fried, dry, and damaged, so that encourages me to flat iron it because that tames the damaged look. But this stuff is phenomenal! My hair feels so unbelievably soft and silky and the scent lingers for so long, which I love. Seriously, this is a major difference for my hair. I think I might be able to take a break from the heat styling for once because it looks so pretty and soft when it's natural! As for the split ends, they're not gone and they're still noticeable, just not as much as before. I will be trying the leave in split-end protector very soon, though. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with oily hair, but overall, I absolutely LOVE this stuff and will continue to use it for as long as possible!"

"I'll admit that I had been excited when my mom suprised me with this shampoo and conditioner. I absolutly love the fragrence and with long, thick, somewhat damaged hair I was in need of some hair help. I found that while it smelt incredible (and the scent does linger, which is very nice), I lost all the body in my hair. It was cleaner and I could tell that my hair really seemed to be getting treated but it wasn't really for my type of hair. I could see this being good for somene who has very long hair rather than medium length like mine, and also for those who want more control over their hair. It was OK but just not for me."

"I have 3 daughters ranging from 4-14 yrs of age. We all have thick long hair. We tried this product and loved it sooo much that it is the only shampoo and conditioner we buy. Recently the store I stopped at to get more didn't care this brand. Against my better judgement I opted for another well known brand. 2 days later I sent my husband to the store in the rain to get my long term relationship. It truly is the best product for our hair and at a price I can afford with 4 women with long thick hair. Even my husband made a comment that it was much better than the other well know brand we purchased. Kudos to Herbal Essences!!!! WE LOVE IT!!!"

"I have long straight hair that's layered and I used heat products almost everyday. Well I have been using this shampoo and conditioner for 2 weeks now and I have to say my hair smells sooo good. "My hair is wavy and goes down to my elbows, and this shampoo and conditioner hydrates it from root to tip. I've noticed I don't have as many split ends as I used to and it smells fantastic. I get compliments all the time on the scent and softness of my hair. It's also much sleeker than it used to be, even when it's humid. I would recommend it to anyone with long hair."

"I have very long hair and was excited to try this shampoo. It is terrible. It left a weird film on my hair, which made my hair look really greasy. I rinsed for about 3 times as long as I normally would, and still felt I couldn't get it all out. I tried this for 3 days in a row and it just got worse.

"I've been a salon brand user my whole life. And I was walking down the hair aisle at Target and I saw all of the Herbal Essences shampoos and conditioners. I started smelling them (because that's what I do lol smell shampoo) and I finally reached this one, and thought it smelled heavenly. So, I had to buy, really only because it smelled nice. The first time I used this was with a friend, we wanted to wash our hair, and we chose to use this stuff. We both fell in love with how soft it made our hair feel, how amazing it smelled, and just it's look in general. I kept using this, and I found that it works better if you don't use it everyday, which is kind of disappointing because I want my hair to smell this amazing and look this good all the time! That's my only thing about it. Other than that this is one of the most favorited HE S+Cs out there, and everyone should try it, salon brand user or not!"

"I'm so glad i found this product finally something that doesnt make the split ends more noticable! When i was little i had great hair i didnt even know what split ends were untili grew up and started having to use big girl shampoo! After a year later my hair got so damaged split ends were going everywhere i tried cutting them of but the grew back! So now i use Herbal Essences long term relationship shampoo and all my split ends are almost gone just got a few more to make disapear...... Also i use the dangerously straight conditioner cuz my hair has way to much volume even when i was little haha!!=) and it gets very tangle haha!!=)"

"I have long, black, semi-straight hair. It was also permed straight. I wanted to use this to make sure my hair would stay that way for a long time w/o breakage.
This worked GREAT. I loved the smell, and how it made my hair very,very,very silky and smooth. I would recommend this to anyone with dark or light hair because it definitely makes it super smooth and shiny!"

"As a swimmer, my hair has been seriously damaged over the years and was REALLY dry and brittle; nothing I did to it would ever make it soft and silky and just really nice to touch and play with. Not to mention, my hair grew at an annoying rate of 1 inch per like, 6 months or so! But now it grows about an inch every 1.5 months. That's some improvement in my opinion! I have never used a shampoo/conditioner that worked this well! The nice scent was also a plus, and my hair is silky smooth and shinny. It's great for people with dry hair that's needs moisturizing and/or help to grow faster. Just for the record, though. It might take more than just 1-2 washes before you see results, so be patient and give it some time to work; I was about 1/3 to half-way through the bottle when I really started noticing results. Either way, it's a great product! Definitely using this again! <3"
