getting rid of the ickies

"I have to say your degunkify is the only shampoo on the market that actually gets my hair clean. I work in a small engine repair shop as parts / secretary / service gal. Well, any time you work in a shop you get greasy, grimmy. That does a number on my hair, I look like a rat has slept in lmy hair by the end of the day. Degunkify is the only shampoo that I have found that takes the grease, motor oil, dirt, carb or break clean, and gas residue out of my hair on the first wash every time. It leave my hair soft, clean, and shiny. With the extreamily fine hair that I have its hard to get that out of a shampoo without it being fly away. I hate to say it, but your drama clean doesn't even work to get rid of that mess. So what ever you do Please don't take a wonderful product like degunkify off the shelves. If you did remove it from the market I'd half to go back to washing my hair with dish soap to get rid of the crud and try to find a shamppo that might do 1/2 of what your one and only product does. My youngest son loves degunkify as well. He likes all the gils fawning over how soft & silky his 20" of very cury locks feel . He sits in class and the girls are alwys playing with his hair... at times to his dismay they braid it or many various things. Girls are always asking him what he uses to make his hair so soft & silky. He always replays degunkify, it takes all the other junk and build up out of my hair in one washing, and then adds you should try it, it's a whole lot cheaper than the other salon product and works a whole lot better."

"It maybe a funny name but WOW does it work. I use other Herbal Essence products but when I want to really get it squeaky clean this is the one I use. I use it about two to three times a week on my long hair that tend to get oily even at 62."

"I use my flat-iron everyday and accompany it with a plethora of products so it gets pretty weighed down. After just one use of Degunkify my hair already seemed lighter and cleaner! I love how clean and invigorated I feel after using this. I would recommend this to anyone who has a lot of build-up and needs a clarifying shampoo!"

"I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH HORMONES AND HAVE EXTREMELY OILY HAIR I HAVE TRIED ALL KIND OF PRODUCTS EXPENSIVE, INFORMERTIALS, STORE BOUGHT ETC NOTHING, NOTHING WORKS AS GOOD AS THIS SHAMPOO, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS NOT A LOT OF THE STORES DONT CARRY THIS PARTICULAR ONE, THEYWOULD HAVE THE WHOLE LI NE EXCEPT THIS ONE.ALSO I NOTICED THAT DRAMA CLEAN COMES IN A BIGGER BOTTLE BUT NOT DIGUNKIFY, HAVING OILY HAIR I WASH MY HAIR MORE OFTEN THEN MOST PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO SEE A BIGGER BOTTLE FOR THIS ONE BUT OVERALL. "My dad bought this and he said the smell made him cry. he gave it to me and i loved the smell, but it really took the pink color outta my hair and left it limp. my mom tried it and her hair was wayy greasy afterwards. none of us felt as if out hair was clean. I LOVE the smell, though, so I'm using it as bubble bath."

"I bought this shampoo on a whim because it sounded like it would get my hair really clean. I normally use Body Envy, but it's good for your hair to change your shampoo every so often and not use the same kind everyday. I was pleased with my results! It smells really good, and your scalp feels tingly and extra clean when you rinse out the shampoo. I also used hairspray and mousse when I dry and style my hair, and this shampoo got all of that residue out immediately."

My holy grail for a clarifying shampoo!

"I came to this site to make sure DeGunkify hasn't been discontinued, because I am having difficulty finding it in stores that I've always found it, before. I am so happy to see that it's still a part of Herbal Essence's products! I use DeGunkify once a week, to wash out any buildup from my other holy grail shampoo which can build up due to the silicones in it. I also use heat protectants (more silicone) since I blow dry my hair, and therefore I need this product! It works sooo well, and gives me a fresh slate to work from. It's the only clarifying shampoo I've tried that doesn't dry my hair out, or make it tangly. I pair with a moisturizing shampoo.. and perfect hair days! I love love love this product, and hope it is around forever!"

"I have had a lot of trouble trying to find the right products for my hair. I can wash it in the more and it looks greasy and dull by evening (thanks well water!) I happened to stumble across the degunkify shampoo and thought it might work since my hair definitely felt gunky (is that a word?). I grabbed it, hoping for the best but not expecting much since all the other brands hadn't worked. Anyway, I got home and much to my surprise, it is the BEST shampoo I have found. I use this once or twice a week and use the Drama clean shampoo and conditioner (which I also found by accident since the packaging is so close, I thought I was picking up the degunkify) the rest of the week. I'm hooked and don't plan on switching anytime soon."

"My hair tends to change with the seasons, so I need to change products seasonally as well. This shampoo is great when my hair is on the oily side, and the tingling feeling is great on a hot day. My only complaint is it's hard to find this shampoo because the packaging is way too close to regular Drama Clean. Maybe Herbal Essences can redesign the package so I stop grabbing the wrong one at the store. :)"

"I may have not mentioned this in my other reviews, but I'm on a swim team, and we have practices once a week. I really hate that icky feeling of chlorine when I get out of the pool, so I needed a de-chlorinating shampoo. Let me tell you, though, the other ones didn't seem to work that well. But this is PERFECT! It cleans and gets rid of all the chlorine! I will use this every time I swim! If you're not a swimmer, or if you don't use a lot of product on your hair, or if you have just plain oily hair, I recommend you use the regular shampoo, because this one might dry out your hair...and NEVER on curly hair unless it's oily!"
