"This is one of the few shampoos I've ever found that really manages my thick, oily straight hair. I wish there were a matching ultra light conditioner... I use it with Drama Clean conditioner but the fragrances don't mesh well and I could stand to use an even lighter conditioner.
Degunkify hasn't dried my hair out at all, but I've never had a problem with that. I would NOT recommend it for dry or curly hair, since it really strips away all the moisture and could cause frizz. The fragrance is meh and I don't feel any tingling, but I don't particularly care. This shampoo definitely gives me a "fresh start" every time I use it, and I'll continue to buy it."

"I just got out of the shower and thought I'd write a review. My hair feels really clean and refreshed! And I guess it tingled a little but not as much as I expected. The smell was okay. To me it smelled a little like bubble gum, but that's probably just me. I don't like bubble gum flavored bubble gum lol ;D Try it and see what you think!"

"I came across this product by accident but it was one of the best accidents EVER!! I LOVE this product. It leaves my hair feeling clean and I love the tingling sensation when I use it. Plus it smells amazing. The only problem is I can't find it in stores anymore so I started buying it from online. I would prefer to get it from the stores though so PLEASE bring it back to the stores on a regular basis."

"i was disappointed in this product, i did not get any 'tingly feeling' the fragrance was ok, not one of the best secnts that i have had from the Herbal essences line, your marketing skills are great with your catchy names and play on words which is what made me buy the product in the first place, i just think on this one you fell short on the 'tingly' sensation...bottom line is degunkify is a defunkify."

"Okay so I have seriously OILY hair. Not to be gross, but I do. I would wash my hair, and still come out of the shower feeling gross. Sometimes my hair would get oily 30 minutes after washing it! I wasn't happy at all. The "Drama Clean" shampoo worked a little bit, but my GOODNESS! The "Degunkifier" shampoo is downright AMAZING. The tingle was so cool, and the fact that my hair has absolutely no oil in it right now, just blows my mind. I have no complaints whatsoever. The fragrance was great, it worked AMAZINGLY, and my hair is so SOFT! I normally have to wash my hair a couple times - not now! I only have to wash it once with this shampoo and it is super clean! Thank you SOOOO much Herbal Essences!!!! Please keep making this shampoo and I would totally buy it forever!!!!!!"

"degunkify is the best product for my husband's hair. he absolutely loves it. i bought it because, since i use conditioner often, sometimes i need to just cleanse my hair. His hair is a little oily and sometimes he gets flakes. his opinion is that this shampoo works better than dandruff shampoos to keep his scalp flake free!

"I just bought this to try it since my hair is so baby-fine and oily, it looks greasy by lunchtime, even if I just washed it that morning! I've tired other deep-cleaning shampoos and they strip my hair of all it's moisture. I just want it clean, not dry! This shampoo not only smells wonderful (I love pineapple!) but it cleans out the oil without making my hair crispy. I didn't really feel any tingles, but I like it better that way. I hope they made a conditioner to match this shampoo soon with that yummy pineapple scent!"

"This product was pretty good. I have wavy to curly hair with no outstanding amount of oil in it. I really only use this shampoo when I haven't washed my hair in like three days and it's disgusting. The smell was crisp and refreshing, which was nice when using a deep cleansing shampoo. I however didn't notice any tingling like was promised on the back of the bottle. But to be honest, I would probably be more freaked out than impressed if a shampoo all of a sudden made my scalp tingle. Another downside was that this particular product in the drama-clean line was hard to find. I haven't seen it in hardly any stores. Overall this is a nice shampoo when a deep cleansing is needed. Otherwise a shampoo suited for your hairtype would be just fine."

"I have to say your degunkify is the only shampoo on the market that actually gets my hair clean. I work in a small engine repair shop as parts / secretary / service gal. Well, any time you work in a shop you get greasy, grimmy. That does a number on my hair, I look like a rat has slept in lmy hair by the end of the day. Degunkify is the only shampoo that I have found that takes the grease, motor oil, dirt, carb or break clean, and gas residue out of my hair on the first wash every time. It leave my hair soft, clean, and shiny. With the extreamily fine hair that I have its hard to get that out of a shampoo without it being fly away. I hate to say it, but your drama clean doesn't even work to get rid of that mess. So what ever you do Please don't take a wonderful product like degunkify off the shelves. If you did remove it from the market I'd half to go back to washing my hair with dish soap to get rid of the crud and try to find a shamppo that might do 1/2 of what your one and only product does. My youngest son loves degunkify as well. He likes all the gils fawning over how soft & silky his 20" of very cury locks feel . He sits in class and the girls are alwys playing with his hair... at times to his dismay they braid it or many various things. Girls are always asking him what he uses to make his hair so soft & silky. He always replays degunkify, it takes all the other junk and build up out of my hair in one washing, and then adds you should try it, it's a whole lot cheaper than the other salon product and works a whole lot better."

"It maybe a funny name but WOW does it work. I use other Herbal Essence products but when I want to really get it squeaky clean this is the one I use. I use it about two to three times a week on my long hair that tend to get oily even at 62."
