"For hair that is; My hair has been notoriously known to take to products really well, especially when it comes to curling and straightening. I've had problems in the past with shampoo being awful to my hair, leaving it disastrously damaged, and after having permed my hair almost four years ago and not being able to get rid of it [because i don't want to cut my hair], I've looked for other ways. This product is great in that department, I straightened my hair less and was left with beautifully straight hair. Which is great, because with thick hair that has been treated with many different things, the shampoo not only cleaned but it revived, as did the conditioner. I definitely love this product, all Herbal Essences products smell really good and feel great afterwards."

"This product is OK....it's not the best ever and I deffinatly wouldn't expect this to make you're hair straight because it doesn't -- you actually have to straighten it and even blow dry it sometimes. But yeah you cant just expect this to make you're hair straight because I know I did...I have wavy hair. Smells very strong, makes hair soft."

"First of all, I love the fragrance. It really helps my hair become straighter with the blow dryer, but I can also use this shampoo for wavy styles. and it moisturizes better than totally twisted shampoo. The only reason I rated this with 4 stars instead of 5 is that I've used salon straightening shampoo, and it did a much better job. But for 1/4 of the price, this shampoo is great, and really helps smooth frizz. Just don't expect it to completely straighten wavy hair...it will loosen waves up a bit, though."

"I expected this product to make my curly, frizzy hair a little smoother and some what straighter. After about a week, my dry hair definitely had a nice bouncy feel to it and smelled nice, but didnt straighten my hair at all. I now realize this was probably for people with straight or almost straight hair who want it shinier and smoother, etc. Overall, I'm a little dissapointed."

"Overall, I like the shampoo, however it does nothing to straighten my hair. I probably will continue to use it because the price is good and it cleans well, but I was hoping for once to have a shampoo that really did help straighten. I do also use the conditioner."

"I have curly and wavy hair. I love the straight look. I tried this shampoo in conjunction with the conditioner and when I woke up the next morning my hair was soft and more straight. There were still sections with a bit wave and curl, and I was still a bit frizzy. So, I had to go over it with a flat iron a little bit. If I didn't have used the dangerously straight shampoo and conditioner my hair wouldn't have smelt so nice, be so soft and a lot straighter. All in all, I'm glad I used it."

"i bought this at walmart b/c i though it smelled great. I also got the long hair one to use, but i gave it to my sister instead. this shampoo smells wonderful, and it makes my thin hair silkier and shinier than it already is, being so fine. It's great for fine hair. I have straight hair, but i wanted something meant for my hair type that wouldn't flatten it too much. it also helps with sometimes when my hair gets all bumpy; it makes it perfectly straight. i wouldn't recommend it to someone with curly hair, b/c obviously it's meant for straight hair. just because it says "want straight hair?" it's just meant for straight or slightly wavy hair, it doesn't make curly hair straight. well i love it but i can't believe they got rid of the hairspray and mousse. i still have some left in the bottles but they don't have them anymore boohoo. bring them back herbal essences!!!"

"I didn't expect this shampoo to straighten my hair, but what it did do was make my hair really shiny,smooth, and smell really nice. Even after i used my flat iron! I realized that this shampoo is meant to prep your hair really nicely before you do anything to it. Usually after a shower i blow dry my hair (it's wavy) then i straighten it and it feels kinda thick and odd. Also All that heat sort of melted away the sent of my shampoo that i had just used. So this product is amazing when it comes to preparing your hair, styling your hair, the look of your hair, and lastly it also kept my hair straighter for a longer time!!!"

"I have natuarally wavy hair, and with other shampoos when I blow dry and straighten my hair it still tends to be fizzy and an undesirable texture. This helped my hair when I straightened it and smooth it out, but I could still use this shampoo and wear my hair wavy which I also liked. I got complimented on the smell of my hair ALL the time when I used this shampoo. My friends would always smell it!"
