"I bought this shampoo because I color my hair, but now everyone in my family uses it. I especially like what it does for my daughter's 'pool hair'. WIth her baby shampoo, it always seemed brassy and damaged. When she started using my Herbal Essences, her hair became much more shiny and silky. I love it! Not to mention that it makes my hair, which is allover colored, smooth and silky, and lasts a lot longer between colorings."

The new bottles

"I love the Herbal Essences products, I've used it for over 15 years, but I hate the new bottles. I couldn't find anywhere to write except here. The bottles are hard to operate when your hands are wet in the shower. The side dispense doesn't work right, the bottle is hard to squeeze and gets VERY slippery when it's wet. I have been transferring the product to the old bottles that they used to have. I really shouldn't have to do this. I just finished filling my old bottles and it took me an half an hour for both shampoo and conditioner. I LOVE the product and will continue to do this, but for my money I should just have to put it on the shower shelf. I am 52 years old and don't have problems with my hands. I just wonder about anyone with arthritis, I am sure they are no longer using this product or doing the same that I am. Please create another option for us who are having diffuculties with the bottles. Thank you!"

"I have used Herbal Essence Color Me Happy for more than 15 years, I have Long Color Treated Hair that is in the process of going natural and this shampoo and conditioner work wonders. I have body in my hair and that is hard for long hair. My husband has a long beard and he loves it even more. WlaMart does a poor job of stocking this product but we will continue to search that is how much we like it.

"So I used this shampoo back when I had my hair colored, and it made my hair really shiny. My hair color always looked fresh and pretty. My mother recently dyed her hair so she bought this shampoo because she remembered I had good luck with it. Even though my hair is my natural color now, I decided to use this shampoo and it still makes my hair shiny and my hair color doesn't look dull anymore. "For the price, Herbal Essences really provides a product that comes through for my color-treated hair. It keeps it soft, shiny, and smelling great. Everyone always compliments it, and the conditioner works so well in keeping my hair tangle-free. I've had a hard time finding conditioners from drugstores that work on my hard-to-manage hair, but color me happy always leaves my hair soft. My long hair normally comes out really easily, and it didn't really help much, but I feel like my hair is stronger and softer than it would be without using a color protecting shampoo/conditioner. I would definitely use it again!"

"I have used Herbal Essences for about 2 years or more. I have tried the Drama Clean line, which I also recommend, but I don't like that one for everyday use. I also like the Body Envy line as well. But, for color treated hair, or perhaps even for regular hair, the Color Me Happy line has the perfect balance of cleaning power with moisturizer. My hair is never oily or weighed down and is left shiny and vibrant. Best of all, I get compliments on my hair all the time, and not just for the way it looks. Every time I hug someone they tell me how great my hair smells. For me, smelling good is a must. I love this product because it is so affordable, it works better than any hair product I have tried, at any price, and it makes my hair smell great!"

"I have been a loyal Herbal Essences girl for over 10 years until now. The new product is bottom line just not as good. It's does not leave my hair as soft and the scent is disappointing compared to the old one. I have now changed brands, so after 10 years it's over."

"I have been coloring my hair and I thought that I would try a product that would protect my color. I have never had any problems with herbal essences products before. In fact the combination of smell, performance and cost has made the brand a pretty good "Go To" choice. So I tried Color Me Happy. The first time I used the product my hair matted in this horrible mess and ther was no way that I could get a comb or even my fingers through my hair until I used a massive amount of Conditioner. My hair is dry and I don't wash every day so after a few days, I thought that I would give this product one more try. Again, a horrible matting and I agian used a lot of conditioner to even run my fingers through my hair. And now even after it is dried, every time I run my fingers through my hair (my hair doesn't tangle hardly at all) , I have hair coming out every time. It has been three days now and the hair is still coming out. I will not use this product again. I will through the almost full bottle out. Never have I had this kind of problem with any hair product from any manufacturer.

"I have used Herbal Essences Shampoo and Conditioner for many years and loved it. It worked great. Now Clairol claims to have changed to name but the product is the same. It is NOT the same. My hair used to be shiny and full of body. It is now dull, limp and sticky. I drove 80 miles round trip to find any remaining bottles of the old shampoo I could. I have called Clairol Customer Service to register a complaint and was assured the old stuff would not be brought back. Hopefully if enough customers complain, maybe they will bring it back at least for online sales! I would pay shipping! I have no idea how many hundreds of dollars I will have to spend to find a new shampoo. I want the old Herbal Essences back! Please help!"
